Story
The Story of Laane Farm
The story of Laane Farm goes back more than 250 years, to when Baron von Löwenstern gave this plot of land to his coachman, Red Jüri, as thanks for saving his life on a hunting trip at Kurejärv. It was an extraordinary event — the young, red-haired farmhand Jüri was given 93 hectares of land along with the right to live and farm there without paying rent.
Jüri and his wife Mai built a sturdy smoke barn and animal sheds, and planted oak and linden trees, some of which still stand in the Laane farmyard today. The oaks are estimated to be over 250 years old.
The farm has been home to many generations, among them schoolteachers, herbalists, soldiers and organ players. People came here to be healed from all over Estonia and beyond, and the farm's renown even reached Russia. Over time Laane farm split into several branches, but the memories, buildings and ancient trees still tell one story — a story of resilience, wisdom and family.
Laane is much more than just a farm — it's living history that you can feel with every step and breath you take here. Welcome!

Imeline kogemus! Maja oli puhas, hubane ja täpselt nagu piltidel. Asukoht oli suurepärane ning suhtlus võõrustajaga kiire ja sõbralik. Kõik vajalik oli olemas ning tundsime end väga oodatuna. Soovitame kindlasti ja tuleksime hea meelega tagasi!
Ilus ja rahulik kohake roheluses paljude vabaaja veetmise võimalustega. Võõrustaja oli lahke ja abivalmis üleüldiselt ja küsimuste korral. Saun, tünnisaun ja grill olid kergesti kasutatavad ja sai ka mõnusat lõkkeaset kasutada lihtsasti ja mugavalt.
Väga väga rahul, et valisime just selle majutuse. Hostid olid väga toredad, abivalmid ja lahked. Kohapeal oli olemas kõik mida oskaks tahta ja rohkemgi veel. Kohale jõudes olid meid ootamas juba kuum saun ja tünnisaun, mis oli väga kena üllatus.
Pererahvas oli ääretult külalislahke ja valmis täitma igat meie soovi. Saun on super ja tünn mõnusalt soe. Majas ja köögis on olemas kõik, mis täiuslikuks puhkuseks vaja ja enamgi veel. Nautisime iga minutit, aitäh!

Absolutely loved our stay! The place was super cozy and clean. Astra was an amazing host, always making sure we had everything we needed. We went snowboarding at Kuutsekas and after a long day out in the cold the sauna and the outdoor barrel sauna were just perfect.
